A great day with the kids

I have to take a minute to brag on my kids. This week God has shown me how good my kids are. Yesterday Daniel was off and we all went and had lunch. We went to a restaurant and I guess some moms were meeting there for play date, I am not quite sure, but there were at least 15 kids running WILD. Grace Anne and Drew both just watched them the entire time. They never once tried to get up and join them. Grace Anne even made the comment that those kids are being loud and they are not supposed to be running around in here. Let me add that the moms did not seem to mind that their children were acting crazy!:-)

Then today, the kids and I went to the mall. They were so good!!! We had a very nice, peaceful lunch. I even took Drew out of his stroller and let him sit in a chair all by himself. He did not even try to get up, he sat there and ate. That is very rare for Drew to sit still during a meal! He is wide open 24/7! I do not always have nice outings with just me and the kids, so I have to brag when I can.:-)

Throughout these past two days, God has opened my eyes and shown me that I need to relax and enjoy every minute of my sweet babies lives. Sometimes I get caught up in worrying about how they are going to act or if they are being to loud. I am so thankful and blessed, I have a great husband and wonderful kids. I love my life!

May Fly

On Saturday we went to an air show. It was cold and rainy! The kids had a good time. Drew loves planes, so the whole day all we heard was "PLANE PLANE"!

We had planned to have some friends over for Memorial Day, but Grace Anne was sick. I took her to the doctor today(Tuesday) and she has strep throat again! She is feeling much better today. We do not have a lot planned for this week, which is nice.:-) The kids are out of school, so we are getting ready to enjoy our summer!

That's all for now, thanks for checking in on us!

This is Grace Anne's last week of pre-school. On Wednesday we met her class at Chick-fil-A for them to play together. The picture above is of Grace Anne and her teacher Mrs. Bertram. Grace Anne had a wonderful year in 4k. First of all her teacher was amazing!!! Mrs. Bertram is from Scotland and she is a really neat person. It was so cool to watch her teach. She has a special way of making learning fun. The kids all adored her. Grace Anne has learned so much this year. She knows all her letters and sounds, and can spell and write several different words. She is very close to reading. I am amazed everyday by her, she loves to draw and write, she is always making pictures for us. Mrs. Bertram has been a blessing to our family this year. We will always remember her and the love that she showed our family.

Also on Wednesday, we got to and watch Grace Anne at gymnastics. She has been going once a week for a year now. She was so excited that she got a gold medal! Her class is upstairs, so we don't get to see what all she is doing. It was fun to watch her and see how much she has improved. She did great!!!! She is really good at gymnastics and and loves going. Below are a few pictures of her day!
!

Drew got to do a little gymnastics as well.
Grace Anne showed him around the gym.:-)

That's all for now. We will be going to Grace Anne's end of the year event tomorrow, and to an air show on Saturday. I will post pictures again soon!!!

Friday Fun!!!

The kids had a fun filled day on Friday. It's was Drew's last day at school and Grace Anne had her last field trip for the year.

On Friday morning we rushed out the door(like always) off to school. When we pulled up at Drew's school he got super excited when he saw the giant slide! He was not quite sure how to climb up the wall at first, but Grace Anne being the great big sister that she is, showed him how. It did not take long before he knew just what to do. I happen to have my camera on me so I took some pictures of his fun day.

Grace Anne showing him how it is done:-)

There was no stopping him now, he had it mastered:-)
Drew had a great time. He is always happy to see me when I pick him up from school, but not today, he ran from me. He was having way too much fun, and did not want to go home. He had a great year at MMO and will miss going to school and seeing his friends.

Grace Anne and I had a great time on her field trip to Lynches River State Park. Above are some pictures of us on the bus.

We started our trip with about a 15min. bus ride to Lynches River. The kids got to go into the new exhibit and learn about the different animals that live at the park. Next they went and walked on the very high bridge(I just watched). We then enjoyed a nature walk. The kids had their snack at the park and played on the playground for a few minutes until it was time to head back to school. It was a beautiful day, we had a lot of fun and enjoyed spending time with friends. Grace Anne is really going to miss being at Calvary Kindergarten. She has made some wonderful friends over the 2 years of her being there. We are thankful for the great experience she has had in preschool!!!

We all had a great Friday. This week is Grace Anne's last week of school. We are going to be pretty busy with end of the year parties. Drew and Grace Anne are growing up so fast, I am just trying to enjoy every minute of it!! Well, that's all for now, hope you have a great week!!!

My thoughts

I have been thinking a lot lately about how blessed I am. First of all, God loves me so much that He sent His only Son to die for me. Second, God has blessed me with such a wonderful family. I know that I take so much for granted. I get so wrapped up in all the day to day craziness in my life that I forget to stop and give God all the glory.

So, I am going to change a few things on this blog. I will keep posting pictures of the kids and keeping you all up to date on our family, but I feel that I have not been posting about the most important things in our lives. That is God and how He shows us His love everyday. I will be posting more of my thoughts and sharing with you some of the special things that go on in our family that the camera does not always capture. So, not all of my post will have pictures, but I will do my best.:-)

Also, I want to thank you for checking in on our family. We are so blessed to have such wonderful people around us. Daniel and I have been blessed that God has allowed us to have lived in different places. We cherish your friendships and thank God for placing you in our lives. Please pray for our family as we continue this journey that God has called us on.

Feel free to leave comments on our page. I have had some people email me and ask how do you leave comments, so here is how. You can do so by clicking on the word comment at the bottom of each post, then type in your comment, then type in the verification word that is in the box, then if you do not have a google/blogger account and do not wish to create one, you can select the anonymous button but make sure you add your name somewhere on the comment so we will know who it is from.:-) Also, if you have not already, you can also check out Daniel's blog at http://www.danieldulaney.wordpress.com/ or click on the link at the right of this blog.

Have a blessed day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day! I hope that all you mothers had a wonderful day. My family started off by giving me flowers on Friday! Then today they gave me two wonderful gift certificates, one to Dress Barn and the other is to the spa, I can't wait to go and get pampered!!! The kids were so excited that today was "mommy's day". They did everything possible to make my day special. I told Daniel that I wish the kids would stay the age they are forever. They are so much fun to be around and so sweet and loving! I love being a mommy!!! I thank God for the wonderful family he has given me.

Now, to our weekend. In the last blog I mentioned that Grace Anne was sick. She ended up having a virus and strep throat. I took her to the doctor and they gave her medicine to help her get to feeling better for the weekend.

My brother(Lee) and one of his friends(Greg) came to stay with us this weekend. Austin(my nephew) came along with them to hang out with us. Lee, Daniel and Greg went to the NASCAR Race in Darlington on Friday and Saturday night, while the kids and I enjoyed spending time with Austin.

The kids and I went to the park on Friday. On our way home we stopped and got shaved ice, you can tell in the picture by the red mouth and teeth that Gracie and Austin enjoyed their treats!!! Grace Anne and Drew enjoyed Austin being here. They love him sooo much! We miss Austin and Emma, and wish we lived closer so we could hang out with them more often!

Drew playing with Uncle Possum! We have nicknames for everyone in our family. The kids call Lee "Uncle Possum" and Austin "Bubba"!
The guys did not go to the race track Saturday until @ 5p.m., so we got to enjoy some time with them. Oh, I forgot to mention that on Saturday, Uncle Possum took the kids and spoiled them by buying them LOTS of toys!

Greg, Lee and Daniel at the Race

Well, that sums up our weekend. We really enjoyed our company. The guys all had a blast at the race and are planning on it being a yearly tradition!

Please continue to keep us in your prayers, Drew got sick today(Sunday) I think he got Grace Anne's virus and I am not feeling good, my throat is sore.:-( I am hoping we are all on the road to recovery!:-) Hope you have a great week!

Mom's morning

Today was mom's morning at Grace Anne's school. She was so excited and could not wait for me to see what all they had planned for the mom's. Grace Anne had made me a beautiful bracelet and she and her classmates recited Psalm 100 for us. They had also prepared some wonderful snacks for the us. We had a lot of fun. I can't believe that my little girl is about to finish up her preschool career! My where have the last 5 years gone?

This afternoon Grace Anne starting feeling bad, then she started throwing up. Please pray for her that she will start feeling better and for the rest of us, that we stay well.:-)
