Oh what a Day......

Yesterday was a WILD day to say the least and I am afraid that this week is only going to get CRAZIER!!!

We have a lot going on in the Dulaney house! It is looking like our daily schedules will be changing around here, but I will update more on that when I have more details.:-) Before you all get your little minds going, NO we are not having Baby!!!HA! Remember this post?

Okay, back to what I was posting about in the first place! Yesterday, what a day! I had a billion things that needed to be checked off my to do list, and Drew was not in the mood to let me get it done! He wanted to play with MOMMY!!!! So, I did what any good mommy would do and I bribed him with snacks if he would let me just get a few things done!!!;-)

I was happy that I got at least one thing done and that was sewing part of Drew's costume! I finished up the rest of it last night and started on Grace Anne's! So, for the rest of the billion things that had to be done, they are still waiting to be checked off!

My day was gone before I knew it and it was time to pick Grace Anne up from school and take her to the eye doctor. On my way to the doctor, I thought to myself....I probably should have gotten someone to watch Drew for me. Well, I should had listened to myself!!! He was a WILD man!!! I wonder if it had anything to do with all that sugar I "bribed" him with?:-) Anyway, it was a nightmare! When Grace Anne was getting the eye exam, Drew started yelling what the pictures were! By the look the doctor gave me I knew he was not happy and not a 'kid person"! I was just praying we could hurry up and get out of there! Getting out of there was the last thing we did! The doctor told me what I was afraid of, Grace Anne needed glasses! I knew that she may need them, since we took her in the first place because we were concerned about her reading with the book right up to her face! So, it turns out that she is going to have to wear them pretty much all the time!

So off of pick out glasses we go! Let me just say I would rather have teeth pulled than pick out glasses! I was so confused and Grace Anne was picking out BRIGHT pink glasses and having a fit to get them and Drew was having a melt down because he wanted glasses like his sister!!!! My stress level was rising by the minute! I was taking pictures on my phone and sending them to my mom and Daniel trying to get their opinion. I was at a complete lost! I just wanted to SCREAM! Finally after an hour of debating on glasses, we finally made a decision!

Yesterday was definitely a day I do not want to repeat!!!!!

From the heart......

I know I share a lot on this blog, but I try to not put EVERYTHING out there for the world to see, but I feel that it is time to share the latest of my testimony with my blog friends.

Nov. 8 will be one year since we lost our 3rd child due to a miscarriage. After lots of tears, prayer and a year later I am finally able to talk about it without crying my eyes out(it probably doesn't help that I cry at a drop of a hat anyway!).:-)

I know that this was all in God's plan and I am full of joy knowing that one day I will meet our sweet baby in glory! I would be lying if I said I don't still think about how old he or she would be and what milestones they would be doing. I don't ever want to forget about the sweet baby that God allowed me to carry for a few short months. I will always treasure those memories and I praise God for allowing me to be part of His plan. He needed our little angel more than we did.:-) I know it sounds crazy and we don't understand and ask WHY a lot, but through this I have learned more than ever to not ask WHY? but to praise Him through the storm and thank Him for allowing me to be part of His plan!

As I look back over the past year I am reminded of how much God loves me and how He has held me in His arms and has loved me even when I have not been all that lovable! I have learned so much during this time and have been blessed beyond words!

I don't know why I felt lead to share this tonight, but maybe there is someone reading this that needs to hear that no matter what trail you are going through, God will never leave you and that you are part of His perfect plan! I pray you have a wonderful night!!!

Well, that is all for now, I will leave you with 2 pictures from last week:-)

My little sweeties! Oh how I love those two!!!!

and here is my little comedian, there is never a dull moment when he is around!

Family Night

This weeks theme was inspired by our new pets.........

Meet the newest additions to our family

NEMO

and GLORIA!!!!
The kids have been wanting a fish for a while now, so we finally broke down and got them each one! Drew's fish is Nemo and Grace Anne's is Gloria. They picked out the names for their fish all by their self!:-)
On our way to the pet store I was telling the kids that sometimes fish do die and that the fish we get will die one day. I don't have a good track record with fish, so I was trying to prepare them in advance!!! I asked them do they know what we do with the fish if it dies and Grace Anne said "Yea, we cook it up and eat it!!!". HAHAHA She was as serious as she could be! We told her that the fish we were getting you don't eat!:-) We got a good laugh out of that one!
Anyway, the kids have enjoyed their new pets, so tonight we had a family night in honor of them.:-)
We started out by watching this movie!

and having fish gummies for a snack!

When Daddy got home we played some games

and then we took a break for dinner and I bet you can't guess what we had?!?!?
FISH STICKS!!!!

after dinner we moved onto dessert
They enjoyed these YUMMY treats!

we also did a craft with goldfish

and here are my little artist showing off their masterpiece!

Well, folks that is all for tonight! Hope you have a Wonderful week!
