Happy Thanksgiving

I pray that each of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. This year was different than our "normal" Thanksgiving Day. We celebrated it in South Carolina!

We ALWAYS go home to Alabama for Thanksgiving, but this year God had other plans for us. Daniel has been battling vertigo over the past week so we decided that traveling would not be a good idea for him! So this week we have just been relaxing and taking it easy, which has been VERY nice for us since the past month has been CRAZY around our house! I tell you going back to work has been an adjustment not only for me, but the entire family!:-) It has been a good adjustment and I am very thankful for that!
So anyway, I got to spend Thanksgiving Day with my 3 favorite people! It was good day beside the fact that Drew woke up this morning and he was SICK!:-( I guess he had a little 12hour virus because he is fine now!:-)

Today I am thankful for my wonderful husband and my awesome kids, but most of all I am thankful for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Without Him I would be nothing. I am so blessed and I thank God for the life that He has given me.

As we are about to enter the most wonderful time of the year, I pray that we will not let the hustle and bustle of the season get in the way of what we are celebrating! JESUS truly is the REASON for the season!!! Yesterday we were putting up our Christmas tree and Drew started singing all by himself "Happy Birthday to Jesus"!!! That made this momma's heart melt! I pray that my children ALWAYS know what Christmas is really about!

Happy Thanksgiving, I pray that you had a blessed one!!!

Home for the Holidays

My mom was here last week and we had a BLAST! Every year she comes the week before Thanksgiving while my Dad goes on his annual hunting trip with his brother.

She helped me decorate a table for Home for the Holidays(an event at my church). We had so much fun shopping and getting last minute touches to complete the table! Thanks Mom, I could not have done it without you!!!!

It was such a fun week, we were all sad to see her go! We missed you Dad and congrats on hunting down your BIG 10pt. deer!!!!

Drew's Thanksgiving Feast!!!

Drew had a BIG Thanksgiving Feast at school last week!!!

He was the cutest little Indian there!

Grace Anne's Birthday Party!

Grace Anne's Birthday is not until Thursday, but we started celebrating early by having a Build-A-Bear party! Friday night, the children's choir from church sang at the beach at The Palace Theater with the 12 Irish Tenors.

So Friday right after school, we loaded up the van and headed to Build-A-Build!

They all had so much FUN!!!!

What a sweet group of girls!!!!
Then we headed over to Chick-Fil-A to finish up the party with dinner, gifts and cupcakes!!!

We had a great time and everyone had a BLAST!!!!

After the Birthday party we RUSHED over to The Palace Theater and delivered the girls to their parents! Then after they all got a QUICK wardrobe change the girls were all ready to sing with the 12 Irish Tenors!!!!
Sorry this is the only picture I have from the singing because camera's were not allowed during the show, but the choir did WONDERFUL!!!! It was so sweet to see the smiles on all the kids face and how proud they were!!!
It was a BUSY but AWESOME day!!!!

COMPASSION

I follow several bloggers that I don't personally know, but through wonderful technology I have met them through their blog.

I have followed bloggers in the past that have traveled with Compassion and witnessed first hand the ministry of Compassion. These bloggers travel around and meet different children and families and blog about it the entire time! This week there are 4 bloggers in El Salvador and 2 of them I know(well not really, but I feel like I know them).

They are just on day 2 of their trip and I have been blessed beyond words. We have never sponsored a child for the selfish reason of not having any extra money. Well, all that is about to change! I am not sure the total cost per month it is to sponsor a child, but I think it is @$30. That is 1 time of going out to eat or not buying that pair of shoes that we don't need! I can't think of a better way to spend that money than to help a child through compassion!

So go on over HERE and read the latest updates from the 4 bloggers that are in El Salvador this week or you can go to KELLY'S blog or HEATHER'S blog. Let me warn you, have tissue handy with you watch the video on HEATHER'S blog of her meeting the little girl that her family sponsors!!!

So go on over to those blogs and read, sponser a child and be blessed!!!!

Drew's 1st........

School Project and Field Trip!!!
Drew had to disguise the turkey so it won't be recognized and eaten on Thanksgiving Day! His only request about his turkey was for it to be a bad guy!!! So I pulled out some extra fabric from their Halloween costumes and we made a bad guy cow turkey! HA!
Today was also his first field trip at school! He had a BLAST at Coldstone making his own ice cream!
He made chocolate ice cream with M&M's!
I had a fun day with my little man!
