Children's Day

Sunday was Children's Day at church and it was such a blessing to watch our Preschool and Children's choir lead in worship.

Drew sang with the Preschool choir(2-5 year old), they sang 3 songs and did a GREAT job!

Grace Anne is in the Children's Choir(1st-6th grades) and they did an AWESOME job! There were 59 children singing and each child worked so hard to learn their lines and all the songs.

Grace Anne and Maggie were so excited that their school teacher came! Thank you so much Ms. Woodson for coming, you made their day!

Cowboy Drew

The other day I was watching my friends boys after school and had to take the oldest one to the ballfield for his baseball game. I was rushing around trying to get all 4 kids in the car and did not realize what Drew was wearing until we got there...................................................

My little man was rocking some cowboy boots!:-)

This my friends is the story of my life! I never know what this little fellow is going to do!

stawberries, birthday parties and good friends

Today was my kind of Saturday, it was full of family fun! We had big plans to take a little road trip and spend the morning at one of our favorite places and pick strawberries, but we woke up this morning to RAIN! We decided to not go and to hang out around the house for the morning and then go out for lunch. We went and to lunch and had some extra time afterwards, since the rain had stopped we headed to a local strawberry patch and picked some YUMMY strawberries!

After we got our strawberries, it was time to go a birthday party!

We headed to the park to help Makenna celebrate her 4th birthday! Everyone had tons of fun!

Next it was off to the bowling alley to help Bryce celebrate his 6th birthday!

We finished off our night by going to dinner with Scott, Brandy, Drew and Bryce. We thank God for this precious family, they are such a blessing to us. True friends are hard to fine and I am so glad that God both Brandy into my life.

Well, that just about sums up our day! :-)

Tomorrow is Children's Day at church and both Drew and Grace Anne will be singing. They are super excited, especially Grace Anne, she is pumped up about her little speaking part!:-) Check back later for pictures!

My Little Gardeners!

Look what these 3 have been up to......................................

Although I have to admit that the garden is Daniel's baby and he is the one that gets all the credit for it, I just get some good eats from it! HA!

Update on Daniel

Daniel and I went to Charleston for his appt. with the heart surgeon on Tuesday. I wish I could say that we got a wonderful report, but we didn't. We knew that Daniel would be getting his aortic valve replace, but what we did not know that he will be getting his aorta replaced as well. This was a bit of shock to us, but the doctor assured us that everything will be okay. Also we were planning on having the surgery in July, but the doctor does not want us to wait that long. He did agree to let the surgery wait until school gets out, so the surgery is now scheduled for June 2nd.


We really liked the doctor and left there with a peace. We are holding on to Jeremiah 29:11 and know that God's plans are better than our plans and that He is in control! I do ask you to lift our family up in your prayers. Even though I know that God is going to take care of Daniel and that everything is going to be fine, I am still struggling a little bit with fear. I am so proud of Daniel and how well he is handling all this. He has a complete peace and is in good spirits. We are excited to see what God is going to do throughout this journey.

A SUPER BIG THANK YOU!!!!

Thank you so much to those of you that donated to American Heart Association! Grace Anne raised $130 for Jump Rope for Heart!!!! WOOHOO!!! She was so excited about this event and had a blast jumping in honor of her daddy.:-)

Thanks again for donating! We are blessed with wonderful friends and family and we thank God for each one of you.

Also, Daniel has an appt. with the surgeon tomorrow. We will be meeting with the doctor and are hoping to have some answers and details about his upcoming surgery. I do ask that you keep us in your prayers during this time for peace and guidance. We know that God is bigger than any type of surgery and that He is in control. Thank you all for your love and support for our family. We are so blessed!!!!

Disciple Now

This weekend we had a house full of teenage girls!!! It was a blessing to be a part of Disciple Now. We had such a sweet group of girls. I enjoyed getting to know them and Grace Anne and Drew also LOVED having them here! :-)

So I guess you can say that my weekend was full of entertaining girls and running them from here to there! Not to mention that our team won the scavenger hunt on Saturday!!!!:-) I think I had just as much fun as the girls did!!! Besides all the fun we had, the weekend was all about God. It was awesome to witness youth groups in our community come together and worship the Lord. Hearts were mended, life's were changed, friendships were made, but most of all God was glorified throughout it all!

Happy Birthday Emma!!!!

Today is my niece Emma's Birthday. I can't believe that she is 12 years old!!!!! Yes, that makes me feel VERY old!

We love you Emma Lou and hope that you have a wonderful day!!!!!

Final Spring Break Post!

Saying goodbye is never easy.

On our last day in Louisiana, Grace Anne had her a little crying fit. She got very quiet and then all of a sudden she was in the bedroom crying. I asked her what was wrong and she said "I don't want to leave Nana and PopPop!!!!". I did everything I could to hold back my own tears and try to calm her down. It was a bittersweet moment! Her crying turned into smiling when got to lick the bowl of one of Nana's YUMMY desserts!HA!

At Nana and PopPop's house these two get to do just about anything they want......

I am scared to see how spoiled they would be if we lived closer to grandparents!HA!

We had so much fun and enjoyed our time with my parents, but sadly our fun had to come to an end.:-(

We got up EARLY and headed back to South Carolina! Here are two pictures from our LONG drive back home..................................................

It is a family tradition that when we are traveling we always stop for lunch at Krystal's!!!! We do not have a Krystal here so we get our belly's full of it when we travel!HA!

and here is our little man enjoying the ride! After 15 LONG hours(we got stopped in 2 traffic jams), we FINALLY made it to sweet home South Carolina!;-)

Bouncing the day away!

The kids spent one of the days in Louisiana bouncing ALL day long! My parents neighbor owns an inflatable business and he brought one over for the kids to enjoy.:-) I thought that they would jump in it for an hour or so and then be bored, but I was wrong! They jumped ALL day and had a blast!

As you can tell, these two kiddo's got a week full of being SPOILED by Nana and PopPop!:-)
