A day at the ZOO!

We spent our Saturday at the Zoo! The weather was BEAUTIFUL

and we all had a GREAT time!

We finished off our trip with a late lunch at Fuddruckers and then headed back home!

Animal Family Night!!!!

Last night we had a family night. It was different than the usual family nights because Grace Anne was not here. Her best friend called and wanted her to come over and spend the night, so she skipped out on this family night!HA!

We started off the night with a snake pizza

well, kinda of a snake pizza, it's a good thing that it tasted better than it looked!HA!

Zebra cakes for dessert! Oh yea, we also had pink flamingo lemonade to drink!

We then played some "animal" games

We also played gorilla stomp(pop a balloon with your feet), which was Drew's favorite game, but the pictures were blurry.

The theme for the night was tied in with a surprise that we had for them on Saturday. The plan was to tell the kids at the end of family night by giving them clues. We had to tell our surprise early since GA was not there. The surprise was that we were going to the ZOO on Saturday!!!!

It was a fun night hanging out with Drew. I think he enjoyed getting ALL the attention!!!!:-)

I know I have not posted as much as I usually do, but to be honest, this blog has been the last thing on my mind here lately!  I was sick all last week and came home from work every day and went straight to bed!  I finally gave in and went to the doctor on Friday, I am feeling much better after getting some antibotics in me!  Speaking of work, yes I am working just about everyday!  I am very thankful for that, but after 5 months of it, I still have not gotten use to the whole full time working thing.  I am sure by the time school is out, I will finally have the hang of it! HA!

As for the rest of the crew...........
 Drew is recovering from an ear infection and trying his best to stay out of trouble!:-)  He came home from school with his 1st yellow today!  I was impressed that he went 5 months without having his color changed!!!!HA!  He reassured me that he will not get his color changed again!  He will stay on GREEN!!!:-)

Daniel is staying busy at the church.  He is also getting ready for the chuch golf tournament, so he has been hitting the greens some here lately.  He has also been acting as both mom and dad while I was sick.  I have the best hubby, I am so blessed!   

Grace Anne is our little reading machine!  She is reading EVERYTHING, and when I say everything, that is what I mean!  The other day we were at BiLo and I was looking at the shampoo and the next thing I hear was Grace Anne saying LIFESTYLE, I turned around and low and behold she was looking at the condoms!!!!!  I about DIED and my face turned all shades of RED!  I said "come on Grace Anne, we have to go NOW!!!!"  There is never a dull moment around here!:-)

Well, I think that sums up our life for the past week!  We do have a fun family night planned for tomorrow night and a surprise trip for the kids on Saturday.  Check back at the first of the week for pictures!:-)

Jump Rope for Heart!

Grace Anne is participating in Jump Rope for Heart at school. This is a very special event to our family. As you all know Daniel was born with a heart defect and will be having his 2nd heart surgery this summer.

Finally DREW'S Birthday post!!!

It seems like we have been celebrating Drew's birthday for 2 weeks, oh yea, we have!!!! HA! Last Friday, Drew had a little Birthday Party at school with his friends!

On Saturday(2/27) it was officially his Birthday!:-)

like always, we started off with a Donut Birthday Breakfast!

then it was time for PRESENTS!!!!!

Since it was Drew's day, he got to pick what we did that day.

He picked BOWLING!!!!

he had to take some breaks so he could receive Happy Birthday phone calls!:-)

We finished off the day with at Birthday dinner at Redbone with

Granny, Papa, Mrs. Tami and Mr. Allen!

and of course he had more presents to open!

and so did Grace Anne!:-)

and you can't go out to eat on your birthday

and not get dessert!!!!!

I guess your thinking that this is the end of the celebrating?!?!?!?

NOPE, this past Thursday he had his party with his friends

at FunDayGo!!!!!

he even got a birthday kiss from his "girlfriend Sary"!:-)

It was a fun 2 weeks celebrating with our little man!!!!
