Welcome Summer ~ Family Night

We had BIG plans for a Welcome Summer Family Night this past Friday night, but I got sick with strep throat and spent 2 days in bed!
So, today we had a mini Family Day!

We had a BLAST with water guns
and water balloons!
and YES that is a balloon hanging on Drew's ear! HA
We had so much fun just being silly and hanging out.
On Friday night we also had plans to play with bubbles, sidewalk chalk, play in the sprinkler and grill out. Since things did not work out as planned we did what we had time for today.:-)

This is my sad teddy bear beach cake! LOL It may not be pretty, but at least Grace Anne and I had fun making it! HA

Even though our plans were changed, we still had fun!

Incredibly Blessed

My life has been a little hectic here lately. Between end of the school year events and Daniel's heart surgery quickly approaching, I guess you could say I have been CRAZY! I have tried my best to stay calm and not stress, but I am sad to say that I have not done a good job with that!

I know that God is carrying me through, because I can't do it alone. I have a peace about Daniel's surgery and I know without a doubt that God is and will take care of him. However I am still having trouble with anxiety. I don't do well when it comes to hospitals and I have a very weak stomach when it comes to my family being sick or in pain. I do ask that you keep Daniel and myself if your prayers during this time. He will be having surgery next week and we are beginning to deal with the normal anxiety that goes along with having a major surgery.

This past week, God has shown us numerous times that he is holding us in His hands and taking care of our every need. We are so incredibly blessed with a wonderful family and friends. I am so thankful for my mom for taking 2 weeks out of her life and coming to take care of our children. I am thankful for Patti and Donnie for making arrangements to be with Daniel and myself during his surgery. I am thankful for my best friend Brandy, for always being there for me and knowing exactly what to say to encourage me, she has been a God sent. I am thankful for all the cards, encouragement and unexpected blessing that we have received. I am thankful for all of you that are lifting up our family in prayer.

We are so incredibly blessed.

The Lord is good and His love endures forever.

For I know the plans that I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to get you a hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

So proud of my hubby!

My hubby is a college GRADUATE!!!!! I can't even put into words how proud I am of him!

Daniel started college right after high school. During his first year of college he got a full time job and decided to focus on his career instead of college. He worked for that company for 12 years and worked his way up to the cooperate level.

After Grace Anne was born he started thinking about going back to college. Even though he has not needed a college degree for any of his jobs so far, he realized the importance of a college education. I remember Daniel saying "how can I tell my kids that they need to go to college when I never finished". So, when Grace Anne was 1 years old he when back to school. For the last 6 years he has worked full time, been an amazing husband and father, moved to another state, new jobs, provided his families every need and been a college student! He has been a busy man!

After all that hard work, he is finally a college graduate! Daniel received his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Troy University!

My little over achiever hubby has already started working on his Master's Degree and will finish his first class this week!:-)

WE LOVE YOU DANIEL AND ARE SO VERY PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday PopPop!

Today is my Daddy's Birthday!!!!!!!

We wish we were there with you to celebrate today, I think we might just go out and have some ice cream today in your honor!!!!!:-) Hope you have a WONDERFUL day!!!! We love you soooo much!!!!

And just in case any of you readers are wondering? YES, I am a Daddy's girl, always have been and always will be!;-)
