Last week Drew's school went on a field trip to Young Chef's Academy. He had so much fun making cookies and bread sticks!

RIP Nemo
We knew it would happen sooner or later!
Well, Wednesday morning Daniel found Nemo dead:-(. We were worried how the kids would react and to our surprise they were fine with it! Drew asked if he could get another fish(since Nemo was his) and Grace Anne was upset that she did not get to flush him down the toilet!!!! HA!
Now we are down to just one fish, Gloria. I am glad we started with a small pet because the kids have treated the fish like they would any other thing. Love it for a few weeks and then forget about it and move on to something else!!! The fish has ended up being Daniel's pets, he is the one that feeds and cleans the tank!YUCK!!!
So there you have it, the latest action going on at our house!HA!

It was good while it lasted.......
The weather that is!!!!
Monday we were out of school for MLK and the weather was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! The kids and I spent most of the day outside.
We rode bikes and had to take a break at the pond(at the end of our street)
and search for rocks to throw!!!!
We played in the backyard and of course Grace Anne kept me scared all afternoon by doing "tricks" on the swing and doing the "perfect" flip!!!!
We also enjoyed the wonderful weather on Tuesday and Wednesday, but today it turned COLD and WET!!!! At least we got to enjoy the outdoors for a few days!!!

Guess who we finally met?!?!?!
When we went home to Alabama for Christmas we FINALLY got to meet in person the one and only McKenzie Lockhart!!!!
If you don't know who she is, go on over and check her out at http://www.mckenzielockhart.com !!! She has an awesome voice and is an incredible song writer. Daniel has had the honor of helping out McKenzie and her team by doing her social networking. It has been neat to see God work in this young lady's life and be part of this exciting time in her life. The Lockhart's are such a sweet family and have been a blessing to us!
Here is McKenzie and Grace Anne!!!! Grace Anne LOVES McKenzie's music and knows EVERY word to ALL of her songs!!!

McKenzie is having a HUGE showcase in Nashville this Tuesday, January 19th. If you are in the Nashville area you have to check her out! She will be playing at 3rd and Lindsley at 6pm.
Daniel and I tried to work things out so we could make a quick trip to Nashville, but things did not go as planned.:-( We are really bummed about not getting to go and support McKenzie, but don't worry because The Dulaney crew will be sporting our McKenzie shirts ALL day on Tuesday!!!!:-)

Cloudy with at chance of SNOW!!!!
Yep, that was our weather forecast for this past Friday and NOOOO it did not SNOW, but never fear, The Dulaney's found a way to have some fun with snow anyway!!!
FAMILY NIGHTS are BACK!!!!!:-) We took off a few months during the holidays and the kids have about drove me crazy wanting to know when we were having a "themed" family night again!!!
So on Friday we had a SNOW DAY!!!!!
we made paper snowflakes
Grace Anne got out our coats, scarfs and gloves and set the table while I got dinner ready! We had a nice and warm dinner that consist of soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.
After dinner, we played in the SNOW!!!!
and even made snow angels! HA!
we even buried Daddy in the snow!HA!
Next it was time for a SNOWBALL fight!!!!!
It was such a cute movie and ended up fitting in perfect with our theme for the night!!!!

Back to couponing......
First of all I want to say a BIG thank you to the people who left comments on the last post,you guys made me SMILE!!! 66 people read that post, so I guess I will be happy with the 5 comments that were left! HA! I'm not bitter at all, can you tell?!?!?!?!
Okay back to this post, I have to confess that over the past several months my couponing has been thrown out the window!!! There are a few reasons for that. For one, there have not been alot of good sales and the coupons that have been out were not all that great. Also, starting back to work has been a BIG reason for it, we have not done alot of grocery shopping over the past 2 months! We have been eating out of our STOCK PILE and only stopping at the grocery store for milk, break, cheese, juice and that kind of stuff. For the last 2 months, we spent around $20 a week at the store and the rest of the food was already in the pantry!!!:-)
But now, we have a problem!!!! We no longer have a stock pile!!! We have eaten it!!!HA! So, I sat down last week and cut, clipped, organized, cut, clipped, organized....you get the picture??? It took forever, but it was well worth it, watch out Harris Teeter and Bi-Lo because the "Coupon Lady" is BACK!!!!:-) Harris Teeter must have known my need to re-stock my pantry because this week they are having SUPER DOUBLE COUPONS!!!!YAYYAYYAY!!!! It doesn't take much to get me excited!!!HA!
Enough of my rambling, here is a picture of my 1st trip to HT this week!
my grand total was $11.27!!! This was a QUICK trip since HT opens at 7a.m. and I had to be at work(on the other side of town) at 7:30a.m.!!!
Daniel and I made a 2nd trip to HT yesterday while both kids were at school. He was amazed at our savings and had a GREAT time shopping! Now, he may not admit to the last part of that, but he did enjoy himself!!!HA!
I didn't take a picture of our last trip and the receipt is in the car(and I'm too lazy to go and get it!!) but I think we got $145 worth of grocery's for $44 and some change. I do have 1 more small shopping trip planned this weekend to Bi-Lo, but after that my stock pile will be FULL again!!! And that makes me one happy girl!!!!
So, how is your couponing going????

Happy 2 years!!!!
Wow!!! I can't believe that 2 years ago today I started this blog! Click HERE to check out my very first post.
I started this blog to keep family up to date on the kids. I hate not having family around, so I thought it would be a great way to let them see the kids grow up! Over the past 2 years I have had a blast posting fun pictures of the kids, sharing family night ideas and sharing my joy in coupons! I look forward to posting lots more in 2010!
There is one thing I would love, and that is for all my readers to leave COMMENTS!!!!:-) It gets boring being the only one doing all the talking!!! I have offen debated on closing the blog, but I have not because I know you all are reading!!! I have a neat little device connected on my blog that tells me how many hits were made to the blog and what city and state the hits are coming from!!! It has been so neat seeing my blog being read all over! The blog is being visited an average of 75 times a week! WOW!!! I only knew of maybe 10 people reading!!!HA! I was so excited to see the blog being visited from Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, New York and Maryland! So in honor of the 2nd anniversary of this blog, I am asking that each of you leave a COMMENT or EMAIL telling what is your favorite post and if you have never left a comment on the blog also tell how you found us.:-)
