Prayer Request

I have asked for prayer requests several times on my blog and I have not been the best at updating on those requests. :-( I am going to do better!

So here is the first one..........

Remember back in Oct. when I asked for prayer for our friend Tami? Well if you don't you can click HERE and HERE and get caught up to date on her. However, I do have another prayer request for her...............

On Friday, Tami will be starting treatments to help cure the Hepatitis C that was discovered back in October. The treatment is 48 weeks long. She will have to take pills everyday and then on every Friday she will have to give herself a shot. The treatment has some side effects that are not so much fun. Most patients that have this treatment experience flu like symptoms. :-(
We are praying that Tami will not have these symptoms and that this treatment will work and she can put this behind her and move on to the next step, which would be possibly getting on the heart transplant list(if the Hepatitis C is cured).

Here is a picture of Grace Anne

and Drew
with "THEIR" Mrs. Tami!
My kids ADORE her, she hung the moon in their book.

Allen, Tami and Alexandar are very special to our family. They are such a blessing to us and we are thankful that God allowed our paths to cross. Please join us in praying for this precious family as they embark on this new journey.

Tami starts this new treatment tomorrow. I ask you to please keep her in your prayers!

Family Night.......

ART NIGHT!

I have friends say that they would love to do theme family nights, but they don't have the extra time to plan or money to do them. So, this weeks family night is proof that it does not take planning or money to have a fun family night! It took all of 5 minutes to get the night underway! I pulled out my craft box and got to work.
Here are the items we used for our crafts........
Daniel ordered pizza while I got the kids started on the first project

The first art work we did we used markers, glue and tissue paper.

We ate dinner and then moved on to dessert............
Food Art!

We made rainbows and clouds with fruit loops, marshmallows!
Next we painted with pudding. This was Drew's favorite!

He did more eating than painting:-)

Our last project was painting!

Grace Anne was a little more into this than Drew. She LOVES arts and crafts, so this family night was right up her alley!

This was a fun and easy family night. I was afraid that it would be too messy and my OCD would kick in, but the night went great! :-)

They do love each other!

All I heard last week was my kids fighting
or telling on each other!
By the end of the week I had enough of it,
so I told them that they could not play together
and they had to stay out of each others room.
That made them happy for about 15 minutes
and then they were ready to play together again!
They do love to each other and are
best friends!
On Saturday I found them watching T.V. like this......
and here they are again on Sunday........

It makes this momma jump for joy
when I see these sweet moments!
I pray that they will always be close
and watch after one another.
Even though they fight, they do love each other!

Family Night

Since March Madness is in full swing
and that is ALL that Daniel has been watching here lately,
we decided to have a
BASKETBALL FAMILY NIGHT!
There was not much planning,
I just used what I had at the house
and threw things together!:-)

For dinner we had hot dogs and nachos
Then we went outside for a game of basketball

The cheerleader had to take a swinging break

and so did the basketball player:-)

Jordon heard us outside playing
so he came out to say hey,
the kids wanted him to join in on the fun:-)
After our "basketball game",
we went inside for some dessert

Here is my attempt at making a basketball dessert,
brownies(baked in a round pan),
with cream cheese icing and chocolate chips

Then we played hot potato with
basketball Easter eggs!
We ended our night by watching
High School Musical 3!
We had a great night of basketball fun,
and Auburn winning made it even better!

Jumping at "Hobby Lobby"

Here is a video of Drew at the Hotel on Thursday night.

He is a mess, I don't know where he comes of with this stuff! I love the look on his face when I asked him who's bed he was jumping on! Oh yea, Mr. Jordon is our neighbor and Drew's buddy!

Our 24hr. trip to Alabama

Thursday morning we took Grace Anne to school and then headed to sweet home Alabama! Daniel had his annual appointment with his cardiologist in Birmingham.
Drew was ready to go and enjoyed the road trip!

Daniel received a good report from the doctor. His heart has not changed much over the past 5 years, it has not gotten better, but it has not gotten any worse and that is a GOD thing:-).
We have known since his 1st heart surgery in 1994 that he would have to have a 2nd surgery.
The 1st surgery they repaired his aorta valve. The surgeon said back in 1994 that he most likely would have a 2nd surgery in about 5 years which would be replacing the valve with a mechanical valve. Here we are in 2009, 15 years later, and God has allowed his heart to maintain and stay fairly healthy!!!! Praise God!!!!
After talking to the cardiologist on Thursday, he said that Daniel is not in urgent need to have surgery right now but we should be looking for a convenient time in the next couple of years to have the valve replaced. He said that we don't want to wait until Daniel gets older and his heart starts getting weak and he has to have surgery. He told Daniel he would see him in another year and we will talk more.
So, we have some things to research and decide. I do ask you to please keep us in prayer for the following things.......
-Guidance and wisdom as we consider looking for a surgeon/cardiologist that is closer to our home in SC. We love his doctor in AL, but we would like for him to have surgery closer to home and not have to drive 6 1/2 hours if he needs to see the doctor.
-Healing! We know that God can and will heal Daniel if it is according to His will. We are so thankful for the healing thus far, and we give Him all the honor and glory!!!!! We serve an awesome God!
So in all, we had a pretty good visit!
We left B'ham and got back on the road again!
We drove about an hour and then we got an hotel room. Then we got up on Friday and got back to SC just in time for Grace Anne to get out of school! She had a blast spending the night with her friend Hannah! We are so glad to be back home!

The triplets turned 2!

Last weekend the kids and I went to the triplets birthday party! It was a beautiful day and everyone enjoyed being outside.

Happy 2nd Birthday to..........

Emily

Stephen

and Lucas!!!!!

We are blessed that God brought this wonderful family in our lives!

What a blessing......

Daniel baptized our friends
Shannon and Jordon
on March 1.
God brought these friends into our lives over a year ago
when they became our backdoor neighbors:-).
They have an awesome testimony
and it has been a blessing for us to watch
God work in their lives.

Shannon and Jordon are very special to our family.
We love you guys and we can't wait to see
what else God has in store for on
this wonderful journey!

Check out Daniel's post about this special day!

Saturday Fun

Most of the time we ALWAYS have
something to do on Saturdays,
but not this week, our day was wide open!!!!
We decided to get out and about and enjoy the beautiful day!

Since we never go out for breakfast,
we started off our day by going out to eat.
We learned that we now know why we don't go out for breakfast,
both I-Hop and Shoney's had a LONG wait,

so we ended up at The Waffle House!
After breakfast we went to my favorite store Target,
Then we headed to the soccer fields to watch friends play.
Grace Anne was glad to be the one watching
and not playing!
(you can read HERE about her
last soccer game experience)

Drew wanted to be ON the soccer field
instead of watching:-)

after a while, the kids lost interest in the game,
but they had fun playing with friends:-)

This is how we ended our day,
nothing better than having cuddle time
with my sweet babies.

We enjoyed our day hanging out together
and not having any plans!

The kids have LOVED this wonderful weather,
we have spent ALOT of time
outside over the past several days.

Happy Birthday Daniel!!!!!

Sunday's are always a busy day around our house,
but this past Sunday was REALLY BUSY!

Daniel has to be a church a couple of hours
before the kids and I, so as soon as he left we began
to get ready to celebrate his BIRTHDAY!

We baked his favorite cake
(chocolate cake, chocolate icing with chocolate chips)

And used left over decorations from
Drew's party to decorate around the house

After church we went out to lunch
and then back home for CAKE!
Can you tell he was excited about his presents???:-)
The kids and I are so blessed,
Daniel loves the Lord with all his heart and
he is a wonderful husband and father.
We thank God for him everyday!
We love you Daniel and hope that you had
a wonderful birthday!

It's party time......

We had a weekend full of BIRTHDAYS!
We started off on Friday celebrating Drew's birthday
and finished on Sunday with Daniel's birthday:-)!

Birthday donut breakfast

Then it was time for presents

I love this sweet picture of him giving Grace Anne
