Please keep him in your prayers, he is getting cabin fever already!!! :-) I will try to post again in a few days!!!! We send our love to you all!!!!

Wow, this past week has went by FAST, I can't believe the weekend has already come and almost gone. :-) On Friday night, I enjoyed Girl's Night Out with some girlfriends from our Sunday School class. We all had a BLAST!!! We went out to dinner and then to the movies to see 27 Dresses(it was a great movie), then after the movie we decided to go and have dessert. :-) It was a great night. I can't wait to do it again!

Saturday was a busy day, Daniel started it off by going to a Men's prayer breakfast at church. Then in the afternoon, I took Grace Anne to a Tinkerbell Birthday Party. She was so excited to go to Olivia's party, but the best part was that she got to come dressed as a fairy! It was a great party. On Saturday night, we had a babysitter come so Daniel and I could go out to dinner with the Jail Ministry Team that Daniel is a part of. We had a wonderful time meeting some of the other men that preach at the jail, and their wives.

We will be having a lot going on this upcoming week. Daniel is having surgery on Monday morning(Jan. 28), please keep him in your prayers. We have to be at the hospital at 6:00, and we are hoping to be home @ noon. Please keep our family in your prayers. It will be a crazy week for me trying to juggle taking care of him and the kids! I will post an update on Daniel Monday afternoon. I think that is all for now, check back later for more!!! :-)

Our weekend in Dothan

Drew, Grace Anne, Cayleigh and Samuel

We started off our weekend early Friday morning by driving to Birmingham for Daniel's yearly check-up with his heart doctor. Dr. Colvin, gave him a good report and told him to come back next year. When we finished up at the doctor, we headed 3 hours south to Dothan. We lived in Dothan for 6 years, and God blessed us with wonderful friends and an "adopted" family. We always enjoy going and visiting with them. We miss our Dothan family very much. Grace Anne wanted to know if we could just move back and live with MiMi. :-)

So, back to our weekend. Like everywhere, it was COLD, so we spent most of our weekend inside by the nice warm fire. We did get to visit with the Tew's on Friday night and the Gilley's on Saturday night. Grace Anne and I went to Kimberly's shop (Pageant Perfect) on Saturday and Grace Anne played dress up. She had a ball!!! We also enjoyed going to our home church on Sunday and visiting with old friends. We spent most of our time at Grandpa David and MiMi's house. The kids just adore both of them. Drew took up with David, he followed him everywhere and Grace Anne wanted to be right by her MiMi. We also got to meet the newest member of the family, Cayleigh. Grace Anne had so much fun rocking and holding her. She kept saying "She is so cute"!!! Drew, Samuel and Grace Anne all had a great time playing together.

That was all of our weekend. We are thankful for our friends and family in Dothan! It was great to see them, we can't wait until our next visit!!! We love you all!!!! Uncle Daniel and Cayleigh

We have had another busy, but fun weekend. The kids drew us some pictures and played outside on Saturday. Then on Saturday night, the kids went over to some friends house to play while Daniel and I went out to dinner. Grace Anne and Drew were not happy to see us when we came to pick them up. They were having too much fun at Mr. Scott and Mrs. Brandy's house. They always have a blast playing with "Big" Drew and Bryce.

On Monday night,Grace Anne had Daddy's Night at her school. She decided that it would be a great idea for her and daddy to go on a date. So, she picked out a dress to wear (because she said "that when you go on a date you must wear a dress") and she and Daniel went out to dinner, then to her school for Daddy's night. She had to tell me and Drew all about it when they got home!!!! She told us that at dinner she even got to drink Diet Coke!!! :-) So, I guess you can tell that they had a great time!

Today, we went to the library to check out some books. Drew and Grace Anne had to put on a puppet show for me. I guess you could say Grace Anne put on the show, while Drew played with the curtain!!! After the library, we went and met Daniel for lunch.
As for the rest of the week we are getting ready for our trip to Dothan. We will be leaving on Friday!!! We are soo excited and can't wait to visit with our Dothan family!!! Check back next week for pictures from our trip.

We are back to School and our normal routine!!!! Monday morning, Daniel went into Grace Anne's room to wake her up for school. He said that as soon as she heard him say "Gracie you have school today!!!" She jumped up and starting getting dressed!!! She was so excited to see her teacher and her friends. Drew was glad to get back to Mother's Morning Out. I was afraid that he would have trouble adjusting again, since he had not been in 3 weeks. He did great and enjoyed playing with the other children.

As you can tell we have had wonderful weather this week. The kids and I have enjoyed playing outside for the past couple of days. For Christmas, Grace Anne and Drew got a swing set. They have had a blast playing on it!!! Grace Anne says "it is the best gift ever!!!". It is so neat to watch them play together. They are best buddies!!!!

Today, we took a walk in our neighborhood. The kids love to throw rocks into the pond. As you can see I have to keep Drew buckled in his car. If not he would try to go for a swim in the pond. He kept trying to take off his shirt and was saying BATH!!! BATH!!!! He is a mess, he loves to play in the water. We have had fun the past few days hanging out and enjoying this nice weather.

Our weekend

We had another busy, but fun weekend. Daniel and I are so blessed to be able to lead a young married Sunday School class. They are so special to us and we cherish their friendships. On Saturday, we had the joy of helping host a couples baby shower for one of our new couples. Sarah and Ryan are excepting TWINS!!! We had a blast as we showered them with love and gifts!:-) We also had a great time playing games. We love getting together with this group. They are a lot of fun, there is never a dull moment!!! We are getting used to this Baby Shower thing. Our class has had 4 babies that were born in 2007, and 4 that we can't wait to meet in 2008!!!! It is so cool to see God working in each of these couples. Daniel and I are blessed to be able to be apart of their lives.

Today, we had a wonderful day a church. Daniel started early this morning by preaching at the prison. Then he headed over to church for Sunday School and Worship. After lunch, we all enjoyed our Sunday afternoon nap!!! Tonight, we were so excited to meet back with our small group, and Grace Anne was excited to start back to choir and Team Kids. We had not met in a few weeks due to the holidays.

As for this week, we are ready to start back to school and our normal schedule. Grace Anne and Drew both have their backpacks ready for tomorrow!!! The weather is supposed to be nice, so we are looking forward to playing outside some this week. We hope you have a wonderful week. Check back in a few days for pictures!!!!

Happy New Year!!!

As we begin at new year, I was thinking of a way to keep friends and family updated on our family. So, I thought this would be a fun way to keep in touch.
We had a wonderful Christmas. The kids had a great time hanging out at our home this year. It was nice spending time together as we celebrated the birth of Jesus.
As for the month of January, the kids and I are getting ready to start back to school on January 7th, and we are planning a weekend trip to Dothan on January 18 . We are very excited about what is to come in 2008. Keep checking in for more post and pictures! Feel free to leave us comments, we would love to hear from you!
