Football Family Night!!!!

We FINALLY got around to having another "theme" family night!

We started off our Football Family Night by going outside and playing a little football!

This little fellow was ILL, he fell asleep and he woke up on the wrong side of the couch!!!HA! Instead of playing football, he spent his time pouting inside.

For dinner we had good ole football food......Hotdogs and Nachos!

and dessert was Football shaped brownies and Reese footballs!

We ended out night by watching "Little Gaints"!!!

Georgia on my mind.......

For months we have had plans to go to Augusta, GA on Saturday Sept. 4th to meet David and Amber for dinner. David had a golf tournament there and Amber was going to join him. We were so excited that they were going to be 2 hours away from us!
Daniel and I decided last minute to change our plans and turn our little day trip into an over night trip! Friday afternoon we told the kids that we were packing our clothes and heading to Georgia and stay in a hotel. Staying in a hotel to our kids is like going to Disney World! HA! They were so excited!
We were having so much fun enjoying ourselves that I did not even think about taking pictures until Saturday! :-)

And finally, here are the kids with David and Amber. They were the whole reason we were in Georgia in the first place! HA! They meet us a PF Changs for dinner. The kids were super excited to see them!

The best part is that we get to see them again in 2 1/2 weeks at their wedding!!!! YAY! We can't wait to share their special day with them. Daniel will be officiating the wedding and Grace Anne and Drew will be the flower girl and ring bearer.

I have to admit that it was so nice to get away for a night, we need to do that more often!:-)

Drew's first day of 4k

I can't believe that my little man is in 4k!!!! He was so excited and could not wait to get back to school! Yesterday he went to meet his teacher and his classmates.

We are looking forward to a great year with Mrs. Martin.:-)

REALLY 2nd Grade????

Okay, my baby girl should not be starting the 2nd grade!!!

Where in the world did the time go?

Last night we continued with our tradition of reading "Oh the places you'll go!"

Grace Anne had a GREAT first day of 2nd grade. She LOVES her teacher, Mrs. Bibbs and is very excited about school!

Busy weekend!

On Saturday we took a road trip to Atlanta.
We met Daniel's parents there and Drew went back to Alabama with them and they are bring him back home this coming weekend. I am missing my Drew Boo already! We are all missing him!!! He has not even been gone a whole day and Grace Anne has told me several times that she misses her brother.:-)

Since we were meeting in Atlanta(that's the half way point between our houses), we took full advantage of having a girly day with friends! We went to the American Girl Store and Grace Anne was in heaven. Her eyes were as big as saucers and the smile on her face was priceless! We had a super fun but LONG day!

We spent a grand total of 10 hours riding/driving in the car, but it was so worth it!!!!

The only bad part of the day was leaving my little man!:-( Next Sunday can't come fast enough!!!!

not much blogging going on......

I am sorry to say that my lack of blogging is probably not going to get better any time soon! Our summer is coming to an end way to quick!

Here is a fast update on us..........
I am very excited that I am going to start off the school year as a long term sub. The kids and I have been hanging out at school this week working on my classroom and I have to say that having a 7 year old and 4 year old help is not the best idea in the world!HA!
I start work this coming Monday and Grace Anne will start on Monday, Aug. 16th.
So if I don't blog as often or even at all, then you know why.:-)
I think Grace Anne is ready for school to start. Today we registered her and found out who her teacher will be and also she found out that her BFF was in her class again this year, so that made her year!
Drew says he does not want school to start! His first day is not until Aug. 25th, so he will be going and spending a week in Alabama with family and he is so excited because he gets to go and sister doesn't!HA!
Daniel is still doing GREAT and staying busy with work and keeping up with us!
Well, that sums up what is going on in our life.
Is the rest of the world as CRAZY BUSY as us?!?!?!
