Family Night!!!!

IT'S 80'S NIGHT!!!

This week I was trying to pick out

a theme for our family night

and Daniel said "Let's do an 80's night!".

(I told ya'll he loves family nights!)

So I went to GOOGLE and started to go

down memory lane :-).

The kids were pumped up about it,

especially Grace Anne!

I did not feel like cooking dinner,

so I googled to find out some food places

that opened in the 80's.

opened in 1984!!!

I ordered pizza and Daniel picked it up on the way home!

While we waited on dinner and Daddy,

Grace Anne and I got ready for the 80's!

We put on blue eye shadow, blush and

used enough hairspray in our hair

for the next 10 years!!!

(If the 80's hair ever comes back,

I will just have to be out of style!)

Daniel and his POPPLE,

I forgot we still had it!

Then we played Chutes and Ladders

and Candy Land!

We listened to the 80's music channel all night,

so there was A LOT of dancing and singing going on!

For dessert........

Daniel and I came up with some of our favorite

snack foods/candy as kids!

We had popcorn, homemade rice krispy treats,

gummy bears, fun dip,

nerds and ring pops!

We enjoyed our snacks on a pallet

in Grace Anne's room

and we watched this great movie

that came out in 1989!

We had a GREAT night! The kids loved dressing up and

doing things that Daniel and I did as kids.

Prayer

Okay blog world,
I need you to join me in praying for Drew's sweet little friend Hannah Moriah.
She is in the hospital for the second time in a month.
Hannah Moriah has been having seizures and the cause of them has not yet been determined.

I happen to be at the hospital visiting her yesterday and witnessed this sweet baby girl having seizures. Words can not describe the pain I felt for her yesterday and I can't even begin to imagine how her parents are feeling.
This family is very special to us and our heart is aching for them.
Please join me in lifting up this family in prayer.

what a morning.........

Let's just say our Valentines Day did get off to a LOVELY start!

We got up this morning and I made eggs, biscuits and sausage for breakfast
That is a big deal around our house!

Then I started cleaning up the kitchen and decided that I would mop the much needed floors.

So, off to mopping I go........................................
First I started the water in the sink and added my pine sol, I then went to get the mop from outside,

I put the mop in the sink and rinsed it, then started mopping my little heart away!
I went back to the sink to rinse out my mop and I found THIS swimming in my sink!!!!

Those of you that don't know me well, I HATE lizards!!!! I know hate is a strong word, but I really don't like them!!!! They scare me really bad!!!!

So you can imagine what came next
AHHHHHHHH DANIEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets just say I had a major come apart!!!!! I was yelling and doing some kind of crazy jumping up and down, I was shaking and crying!!!!
Go ahead I know you are laughing!!!!I am laughing now that it is all OVER!!!

Daniel was yelling at me telling me to stop yelling and to go to the bedroom, the kids were LAUGHING at me! I know my kids did not even show me any love!!!
It's was CRAZY!

Then after that episode and I finally calmed down,
we heard Drew SCREAMING!

He had gotten his head caught in the toy box!!!!
He was okay, just needed some TLC:-).

SO that has been out Valentines Day so far........
I bet yours has not been as exciting as ours!!!!

My plans for the rest of the day are to relax and try to have a GOOD day with the 3 loves of my life!

Oh yea, and thanks Daniel for saving me from the lizard this morning!!!
You just filled my love tank a little more today:-)

Last weekend Grace Anne was my party girl,

she went to 2 Birthday Parties!

FAMILY NIGHT!!!!

Family night this week was

VALENTINE'S NIGHT!!!!!!

We started off with dinner

Heart shaped spaghetti with garlic cheese bread

Next we played Valentine Bingo

Drew was the first to get BINGO

(with the help of daddy):-)

BINGO was a big hit, Drew was our BIG winner,

he won 2 times, while Daniel and Grace Anne each had 1 win,

and of course like always I was the big loser with 0 wins!!!!:-(

While Grace Anne worked on her Valentine cards

to take to school next week.........

Daniel and Drew took a time out to watch some T.V.!:-)

And for dessert, we decorated heart shaped cookies

with icing and sprinkles!

and they were YUMMY!!!!

IT SNOWED AGAIN!!!!!

I woke up this morning and to my surprise it was SNOWING!!!!

I ran and told Daniel and he said "No it's not, your kidding!". :-)

We didn't know that there was snow in the forecast!!!

School was NOT cancelled,

but we declared it a NO SCHOOL DAY at our house!

Daniel went to work, but the kids and I had a blast playing in the snow!

Who would have thought we would have snowed

twice in a month in SOUTH CAROLINA????

Drew got an early birthday present in the mail last week

from Granny and Papa

He LOVES his new chair

and the box it came in!

That box has been a rocket ship, boat, car and a club house

for the past week!

Oh what fun kids have with boxes:-).
