All about Drew!

This post is all about our little man Drew! He is at the cutest stage right now, he keeps us on our toes! He does not meet a stranger and LOVES to be the center of attention!
There is no question about it........ he is ALL boy. Yes, he does like to play dress up and Barbies with Grace Anne, but there is nothing girlie about that boy!!!! He is about as rough and tough as they come. He loves to play Power Rangers and thinks he is one at times.:-) He loves to play soccer, football, golf and baseball and that boy can throw a ball!
He is the sweetest little fellow and loves his big sister. She hung the moon in his book! They are the best of friends and play so good together. Drew is so loving and tends to steal peoples heart. How can you not fall in love with that sweet boy! I know it sounds like I am bragging, well...........I am!:-) Daniel and I are so blessed to have two amazing kids!:-)
Here are a few things Drew has been up to here lately
Drew has a thing with hats. He wants to wear one at all times, even when he is sleeping. We try to put them up so he can't reach them but he still finds a hat to wear. At night when we go and check on him, he is always sound asleep with this hat on!
or he is sleeping naked:-) He has learned how to dress and undress himself!

He also has discovered his pockets! Yes, I have washed many of things here lately and we have lost some toys by him sneaking things in his pockets! We have started doing the pocket check before we leave the house!

His new word is AWESOME, everything is awesome! He is a talking machine, he says anything and everything. He loves to sing and dance and his favorite music is Toby Mac(that was his daddy's doings). He knows every word to all the songs! He can rap with the best of them! He also has a great memory. He amazes us with the things he remembers from months ago!

We are still trying to master the potty thing. He has his good and bad days, but for most part he gets it. I don't know when we will graduate to wearing big boy underwear, but I am not in a hurry! He is going up to fast as it is!:-)

He is learning new things everyday, we are working on learning our colors and doing basic things like coloring, painting and etc. Well...........I guess I better work a little harder on the coloring on PAPER part
what do you think?

I guess you can tell that there is never a dull moment around our house!:-) I hope this helps you know a little bit more about our sweet Drew boo ! He is the such a blessing and so much fun to be around. Daniel, Grace Anne and I think he is the sweetest, cutest, funniest little boy ever! We pretty much adore him!:-)
Well, that is all for now, hope you enjoyed reading about our little man! Oh, and don't worry I am also working on a post all about Grace Anne! Be looking for in it the next week or so!

Family Fun!!!

For some reason this past week was WILD!!!!! We had something to do everyday last week so my blogging was put on the back burner. I do have lots of fun pictures to post from our weekend!

We spent most of our day Friday outside!!! The weather was beautiful. This is the time of year that we spend most of our time playing outside! The kids played with bubbles, sidewalk chalk, rode their bikes and played on the swing set! When Daniel got home they did not even let him go in, they were ready to play and go for a walk! We finally came inside to eat dinner and then we headed to the "ICEE PLACE" for dessert. There is a Hawaiian Shaved Ice by our house and the kids yell "ICEE" every time we pass by it. So, we figured what better way to end a day! Next it was time for baths and movie night! This week we watched "Garfield's Fun Fest". As usual Grace Anne and I fell asleep and the boys finished the movie! We are going to have to start movie night earlier!!!!

Notice they both have band aids on their knees, you can't truly have fun riding bikes without a couple of booboo's!

Now to our Saturday!!!! We had a BLAST at J.D's birthday party. It was all about CARS!!! The kids favorite part was making their very own car, then they had a big race! It was the cutest thing ever! Drew loved to run around the race track and then wreck(fall down). Check out these cute pictures!
Making their cars

How cute is that?
On your MARK, GET SET..........

GOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The sweet birthday boy enjoying his cupcake! Thanks J.D. for a super fun party! Hope you had a wonderful 2nd birthday!
J.D. is one of our sweet Sunday school babies. Between all the couples in our class there are 20 kids(all under the age of 6)!!!! I guess you can tell that our Sunday school class keeps the nursery very busy!!!:-) Wow...........God is so good!!!!!

Well, that is all of our weekend. We enjoyed spending time together as a family. Our kids are growing up so fast, we are trying to soak in every moment! Check back in a few days, I am working on a new post "All about Drew". I am hoping to have it up soon! :-)

Oh yea, leave me some comments, I am starting to wonder if anyone is reading my blog!!!!:-)

Our Anniversary Getaway!

Daniel and I had a great time this weekend in Charleston, SC. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing. We enjoyed the carriage ride, the good food and shopping but most of all the peace and quiet was the best part! I did not realize how fast paced and busy our lives are! We have been so busy here lately so it was very nice for the two of us to get away for a few days.

Here are few pictures from our trip

Our home for 2 nights, we enjoyed our stay at the Meeting St. Inn

Our tour guides around the city Traveler and Butterfinger!

Rainbow Row

My FAVORITE house in Charleston
The Calhoun Mansion, Maybe I will have
a house like that one day!!! Don't worry I am
not holding my breath!:-)

I must add that the kids had a great time getting spoiled by Granny and Papa! Now we will have to see how long it takes us to get them un-spoiled!:-) Thanks Patti and Donnie for coming and watching the kids for us!

Well that is all for now, I will try to post again soon!

Celebrating 9 wonderful years

September 11, 1999 was the day our journey began. As I look back on the past 9 years I am reminded of God's love and grace. We have had our share of good and bad times, but through it all we have grown closer to one another and to God.

Our journey has been an adventure.................................
in 2000 we moved to Dothan, AL.
2002 we purchased our first home and we were blessed with our precious Grace Anne
2003 I accepted the calling to be a stay at home mommy and we purchase our first new car
2004 God called us to minister to college students
2005 Daniel had a job/career change and we purchase our second new car
2006 We were blessed with our sweet little Drew and we made our next move to South Carolina
2006 We purchased our second home and Daniel accepted the calling into the ministry
2007 Daniel made another job change and went to work full time in church ministry
2008 We are more in love than ever and look forward to what else God has in store on this wonderful journey!

Over the past 9 years we have relocated 2 times, had 2 children, purchased 2 homes and 2 new cars! I guess things come in 2's around our house, not to mention 9/11 happened on our 2nd anniversary!

I am so glad that God choose Daniel to be my husband. I can't imagine walking on this wonderful journey with anyone else. Happy anniversary Daniel, I love you so much. Thanks for all you do for our family. I truly feel blessed to have such a godly husband. You are my not only my husband, you are best friend. I love you.

A weekend around the house

This weekend we just relaxed and spent family time together. We were blessed to not have any damage from hurricane Hanna, just a little rain.:-) We try to set every Friday aside for family night. This past family night was movie night, we watched College Road Trip. Drew and Daniel made it through the entire movie while Grace Anne and I feel asleep. You can tell who the night owls are at our house! GA and I did finish watching the movie on Sat. morning.:-)

Our Saturday was all about football! The kids helped us cheer on the Auburn Tigers to another win! Drew loves football and lives in his "Auburn football man" clothes. He wants to wear it ALL the time and is always asking me if he can be an "Auburn football man" today!:-) I have added a picture of Daniel and Drew watching the game together. Watch out guys........I think we have a future Auburn quarterback in training! :-)

We had a great day Sunday at church. We started off the morning with a packed Sunday school class and then a wonderful time in worship praising and spending time with God. The kids have enjoyed the summer break, but they are glad that choir and team kids has started back on Sunday nights! Daniel and I have started going to a new small group on Sunday nights, we have enjoyed meeting new people and are excited about what God has in store for this new group. However we do miss the group that we met with for 2 years and will always cherish their friendships and time we spent with them. It is exciting to see that group break away and serve God in other areas. That is what small groups are all about!

This week Daniel's parents are coming on Wednesday. Daniel and I are going to Charleston Thursday - Saturday to celebrate our 9th anniversary!!! We are very excited and are looking forward to our trip. Well, that's all for now, I will try to post again this week! Thanks for checking in on us.:-)

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!:-)

We have had a pretty good week. We have not had a lot going on which is GOOD! Grace Anne started back to gymnastics this week. She was so excited and has decided that she now loves Wednesdays because she gets to go to gymnastics and to mission friends!

As, I have mentioned before, Daniel and I have been blessed to be able to lead a young married Sunday school class at church for almost 2 years now. Between all the couples in our class there are @18 kids(all under 6 years old)! We have several stay at home moms in the class, so I decided to have them over for a play date. On Wednesday morning we had 6 kids over, they were all 2 and under! We had a blast!!! Drew loved having friends over to play and I enjoyed the adult conversations!!! I forgot to take pictures:-(. Thanks Kristie, Jessica A., Jessica P. and Marge for a fun morning, we can't wait to do it again!

I also got to go and volunteer at Grace Anne's school this week. I have enjoyed getting to know the kids in her class and being able to be involved. It has been a lot of fun! This morning I went to Mom's In Touch. I am very excited about this group, we meet every Friday morning and pray. It was very encouraging for me to join together with other mom's and cover our children, their school and teachers in prayer. If you have a child that goes to the same school as Grace Anne and are interested in coming to pray, please let me know and I will get you the info, or if you are interesting in starting a Mom's In Touch for your child's school, I can get that info. to you as well.

This weekend plans are to hang out around the house and watch football:-)! I am also praying that we do not get any bad weather or damage from Hurricane Hanna!

Well, that is all for this post, hope you have a wonderful weekend and WAR EAGLE!!!!

Football Season is here!!!! WAR EAGLE!!!!

We are sooo excited that football season is finally here!!!!! Drew LOVES to dress up like an Auburn football player. I have a feeling that this will be what he wears every Saturday! He loves to run around throwing the ball and yelling "FOOTBALL!!!!". Drew and Grace Anne have been singing the Auburn fight song and yelling "WAR EAGLE" for several weeks now. They are geared up and ready for the season.

We started off our Labor Day weekend by going to a high school football game. We had a great time cheering on the West Florence Knights and the South Florence Bruins with the Allen's. Thanks Jason, Jessica and Isabella for a fun Friday night!

We have enjoyed relaxing and having family time this weekend. Daniel and Drew spent Friday together having lunch at Burger King and then a trip to Toys R Us. Then on Saturday Grace Anne and Daniel had a breakfast date. She requested donuts so they went to Krispy Kreme and then went to Toys R us.:-) We have had a fun filled weekend together!
