Zoo Trip/Egg Hunt

We went to the Zoo on Friday with Scott, Brandy, Drew and Bryce. It was a beautiful day!!! We have season passes to the zoo, and this was the best trip yet. This was the first time that all the animals were out and about. The kids had a blast, I think the monkeys were their favorite! They were putting on a show!!!:-)

We were gone all day, when we got home the kids were ready for bed!!! I have posted several pictures from our trip. We had a great time!!! We are looking forward to another outing with our friends!

Today, we had our egg hunt at church. I guess we were all still tired from our fun filled day at the zoo because we did not get up until 9:00 this morning and the egg hunt started at 10:00!!! We had to hurry and get ready so we would make it on time. The kids were a little tired, but once they got there they had a good time. I took a few pictures of the kids from this morning's egg hunt. The first two pictures are from yesterday. We went with some friends to see a play and then we headed over to McDonald's for lunch. Drew and his buddy Evan had a great time wearing their pirate hats and eating lunch together. I did not get any pictures of Grace Anne and her friends, they were too busy playing! We had a great time and look forward to hanging out with them again soon!!!

The next pictures are from today. Both kids had their Easter Egg hunts at school today. The parents were invited to Grace Anne's so I got to go. She had a great time!!!! Drew's egg hunt was just for the kids, but I did take some pictures of him when we picked him up from school! They both had a blast, and are looking forward to all the other egg hunts they are going to this week:-).

We have a busy week planned. Tomorrow(Thurs.) the kids are going to another egg hunt with thier friends Emma Claire and Evan while I have lunch with Daniel and the Senior Adults from church. We are going to the Zoo on Friday with some friends, and we have 2 more egg hunts on Saturday, so I will be posting more pictures soon!!!!

Grace Anne's first concert/Lori's weekend get away:-)

What a weekend!!! I went on a women's retreat hosted by our church at the beach while Daniel and the kids had a fun filled weekend at home.

I left on Friday at lunch and got back today(Sunday). I had a wonderful time. It was good for me to get away. The retreat was very good, it was focused on friendships. During the sessions, I got to spend time with some women that I did not know. It was neat to see God working and forming these new friendships. I also got to spend time with friends that I already had a relationship with and it was cool how God allowed our friendship to grow closer and stronger. We also had some free time, so I shopped!!! I am thankful for this weekend, it was refreshing for me and helped me to be able to have some "me" time. I think that all women need to get away and have a time to refocus. I believe that trips like this helps me to be a better wife and mother because I am able to be alone with God and have that time to reflect on Him without all my day to day distractions. I left me camera at home so Daniel could take pictures of their weekend. I have asked a friend to email me some pictures that she took of the weekend, I will try to post them soon!:-)

Daniel and the kids had a great time together. On Friday night, Daniel took Grace Anne to her first concert. They went to see TobyMac(a christian hip hop artist). Grace Anne loves to listen to his music. She sings and dances to it all the time. She enjoyed her first concert and was very excited that her daddy bought her a pink TobyMac T-shirt!!!:-) Drew had a babysitter while Daniel and Grace Anne had their outing. He had a great time with Mrs. Jennifer and enjoyed not having to share her with his sister:-).
On Saturday, Grace Anne had a soccer game, and soccer pictures. Of all the days to have pictures, I should have known it would be when I was out of town. I am looking forward to getting the pictures back and seeing how her hair was fixed!!!:-) The kids enjoyed the weekend with their daddy. Daniel is so good with them, he is the best daddy. I thank him for all he does for our family and for encouraging me to go on this trip.

We will be getting ready this week for Easter and celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. This is my favorite time of the year! I will post pictures of the kids Easter parties at school later this week!!!! I hope you have a blessed week.

Our super busy, but fun weekend!

We had a great weekend. Friday night, Daniel and I enjoyed a night out while the kids went to play with "Big" Drew and Bryce. We went out to dinner and then we went and picked Daniel out golf clubs for his birthday. We had a wonderful time. Thanks Brandy and Scott for keeping our children for us!:-)

On Saturday, I took Grace Anne to a Cinderella brunch. One of the local ballet companies is putting on the show, and they had a brunch to help promote the ballet. One of Grace Anne's friends(Ansley) is in it, she is going to be a firefly. We had a great time. Grace Anne really enjoyed herself. She loves all that girly stuff, so this was right up her alley. I have posted pictures below of Grace Anne and her friends that we went with.

Saturday night, we had a family outing. We went out to dinner and then to Toys R Us. Drew had some Birthday money to spend, so we went and let him pick out some toys. He has gotten into Spiderman, so he spent some of his money on super heroes. He also got a bike for his birthday from PopPop and Nana. He is showing off his new bike in the picture above.

For the rest of this week, it is BUSY! We have a lot going on. I will try to post as soon as I can. Hope you have a great week. :-)

Drew finally had his birthday party at school today(wed. 3/5)!!!! He had a great time celebrating with his friends. We hope you had a wonderful 2nd Birthday Drew, we love you!!!

We are slowly getting well at our house. The flu hit our family HARD! Everyone got it except Grace Anne, she did get sick, but not with the flu. The kids and I are doing much better, but Daniel is still not feeling all that great. We are praying that we will ALL be healthy again soon!!! I have posted some pictures from yesterday(Tues. 3/4). Grace Anne and Drew always have the best time playing together, they have the biggest imaginations. I love to just set back and watch them play. They are best buds and love each other so much. They play so good with each other(well, for the most part).:-) We are so blessed to have such sweet kids!!!!




I had to post these two pictures. Last night, Drew did the cutest thing. I heard him yelling POP POP!!! When I went to find him, he was sitting in the hall with a picture of his Nana and Pop Pop(my parents). It was just too cute. The next picture is of him talking to "Uncle Possum"(my brother) on the phone. It has become a daily thing for Drew to bring the phone to me and say "possum, talk to possum". I guess you can tell that it does not matter how many miles Drew is away from his family, he is going to find a way to talk to them!:-) We love our family and miss you all soo much!!!

Here are some pictures from Grace Anne's first game(it is hard to see the pictures, but if you click on the picture, it will make it bigger). She did great and can't wait until her next game. She is already asking to play again next season.:-)

Please keep us in your prayers. We are STILL sick. Drew has a cough/cold and is fussy and I have the FLU:-(. We are praying that Daniel and Grace Anne stay well, and we will all be back to good health SOON!

Today is Daniel's birthday, with all of the sickness we were not able to celebrate his special day today:-(. We will make it up to him as soon as we all get well. Happy Birthday Daniel, we love you!!!!
